Big Agent Rewards by Travel Gossip

Earn rewards for your bookings

If anyone deserves rewards it’s travel agents!

Big Agent Rewards enables you to be rewarded for your bookings and supplier loyalty.

Supplier incentives will either offer you money or points.   Here’s how each type of reward works…

Earn Money

You can earn money rewards from different suppliers and it all goes into the same pot of money in your account.

You will earn money once your logged booking has been approved by each incentive sponsor.

Approval for logged bookings can only be provided once the sponsor has confirmed that your customers have arrived.

Once you have earned £10 you can request to ‘cash out’ and we will add your cash reward to your personal pre-paid Mastercard account

We will pay all approved cash rewards to your virtual Mastercard within 7 days after your requested payout

Redeem Points

Some incentives offer points instead of cash.

Each incentive programme will have its own points scheme e.g. earn 100 points for a free stay.

Once you have earned 100 points you will be able to request to convert your points to prizes or you can keep earning more points for a bigger prize.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get paid my cash rewards?

Once you have earned enough cash rewards to enable you to  request a payout, you will be sent details of how to sign up for a virtual prepaid Mastercard, powered by B4B Payments

Is the B4B Payments card free to use?

Yes, it’s free to set up an account and receive a virtual prepaid card and there are zero card charges to use your virtual card.

What is a prepaid card?

A prepaid card is a card that is preloaded with funds from either your bank account, from a credit card or a third party like Big Agent Rewards by Travel Gossip. The prepaid card can then be used to pay for goods and services up to the value that is loaded on to it, wherever you see the Mastercard® Acceptance Mark, in bars, restaurants, shops and even online – in the UK & overseas.

Will I get a physical, plastic debit card?

No, we are following the trend towards virtual payments and away from another plastic card that can get lost in drawers or bulks up your purse or wallet.
Our virtual cards can be used for any online purchases.

Can I use virtual card to make contactless payments?

Yes!  You can connect your virtual Mastercard with both Apple Pay and Google pay.

Do I need to declare rewards/cash with HMRC?

Yes – Rewards you receive through the scheme may give rise to a personal tax liability. It is your responsibility to declare them to HMRC where required and pay any tax that becomes due.

Rewards earned through this scheme are provided in connection with your work and, depending on the type and value of the reward and your individual circumstances, they may be treated as taxable income or a taxable benefit.

Previously, the tax arrangements associated with rewards earned through the scheme may have been dealt with on your behalf. This is changing, and you should now be aware that you may have a personal responsibility to report rewards you receive and settle any tax due.

What do I need to do?

You should keep a record of rewards you receive through the scheme and consider whether they need to be declared to HMRC. The amount of tax, if any, will depend on your personal circumstances and the type of reward received.

If you are unsure whether you need to declare a reward, we recommend checking the guidance available from HMRC or speaking to a tax adviser.

What information will I be able to see?

Your rewards account will provide a record of the rewards you have earned and/or redeemed through the scheme. You can use this information to help you maintain your own records and, where necessary, provide information to HMRC.
